JIM
ROBERTS – One only has to review
the multitude of accolades that Jim
has received in his 20 years as a
concierge to know that he lives by
what he likes to call the “Spirit
of Service”. In addition to
serving two terms as President of WACA
in 1991-92 and 2003-04, Jim held
various positions on the National
Board of Les Clefs d’Or from
1995-99. He was also named “Wacaian
of the Year” in 1992, received the
Silver Plume “Senior Concierge”
Award in 1993, and was most recently
nominated “Concierge of the Year”
in 2003. Jim started in the profession
in Hawaii in 1984, and has worked at
some of DC’s most prestigious
properties since 1986, namely the St.
Regis Washington where he has held the
position of Chef Concierge for the
past nine years. Finally, thanks to
teaching in Japan for several years
and various stints abroad, he speaks
fluent Japanese, French and
Spanish...
